If you’re thinking about buying a Champion generator, you may be asking, “Who makes Champion generators?”

Champion Power Equipment makes Champion generators. They’ve been a well-known and respected name since 2003. Their original headquarters were in California but now they also have facilities in:

  • Jackson, Tennessee
  • Milwaukee, Wisconsin
  • Toronto, Canada

Champion Power Equipment not only makes portable generators and inverter generators like many RVers love and use but they also make home standby generators, engines, winches, and log splitters.

If you’re an RVer looking for a great generator, Champion would be my recommendation. I used one of their portable inverter generators while I was camping with my family for 2.5 years, and I can highly recommend it.

If that generator is a little bit outside of what you’d like in a generator, there are other great Champion options as well which include the following.

The one we used definitely packs more of a punch, but if you don’t need as much power, then the second one will work just fine.

Choosing the Right Generator for You

Before you buy a generator, you should make sure you calculate how much wattage you need. You can do that with our RV generator wattage calculator. Just keep in mind that the more wattage you want, the higher the price tag is likely to be. That is especially true with quality brands like Champion.
