Why Campendium Is Such a Great Free Camping App
You can definitely find free camping on your own. But why would you want to? When you use Campendium, you have a massive group of experienced and helpful campers guiding you to the best spots so you can have the same fun that they had.
The cool thing about Campendium is that you can see when someone added a photo or information as well as which user added it.
Yeah. This isn’t free camping because it is in my beautiful state of Tennessee, where it is very difficult to find free RV parking.
However, if you look into places like South Dakota, they have some pretty amazing free RV camping sites.
You can see how many stars each of the locations you want to visit has. Read the comments and see if the negative reviews are anything you care about.
The person that parked there for free might have just been there at the same time as a camper that didn’t have any respect, and that could have caused some serious annoyance and a negative review. If that were the case, you might not have to deal with that at all.

If you want to find some free spots to stop for one night, then FreeCampSites.net is a great option. It’s not super attractive, but it works and can get you out of a bind when you aren’t where to camp.
Harvest Hosts
Harvest Hosts is a neat app that allows you to connect with places that give you a free place to stay. I’ve seen some of the most unique spots on this app, but you should be ready to buy something when you stay at a winery or other place that has a store. The app is a paid app, but it’s cheaper to pay for the app and not for the RV parking.
