Why You Should Use RV-Specific GPS
Using RV Life’s GPS and putting your RV’s specifics in there will keep you safe on the road.
You won’t have to worry about taking a wrong turn and taking the top of your RV off with a low bridge, going through tunnels with propane tanks, or any other “no-nos” that could cause you problems on your trip.
Keep in mind that any GPS might give you directions that are a little “roundabout” to keep them as simple as possible. In fact, you’ll likely have three different options on your Google Maps when you head out. But the good thing is that you’ll be sure that you go on RV-safe routes for your RV. This is especially important if you’re driving a really big rig.

Now you know that you can use two of your favorites together, you can navigate safely on your next RV trip. Road trips should be fun, they shouldn’t stress you out, and now you can hit the road without stressing.

Maybe Im doing something wrong, but on car play the map is terrible. Buildings are just boxes, there are no street names. Any ideas? Maybe its a setting?
Hey, Mike! Apologies on just getting back. I think it was due to a glitch around the time that you posted this comment but I went ahead and reached out to support@rvlife.com and they said:
We don’t currently have any issues like this at all. My first thought was that maybe they were using a different “Map Style” like “Terrain view” or something but when I tested it, it was showing street names. I confirmed that “Satellite view“ did also. I don’t know of anything else that could be causing this. We did have some temporary map related glitches briefly way back in October (street names were very rarely showing with “blocked letters” and unreadable). But an update resolved that. Make sure the member has the latest Offline Maps downloaded. Perhaps they aren’t staying connected during Navigation and it’s causing some of their problems. When in doubt, delete the app and re-download any offline maps for states they are travelling in.
I hope this helps! =)
